Precise Diagnoses All In-House

At Canton Animal Hospital, our hospital proudly offers pet owners a full in-house diagnostics lab. We are equipped for all diagnostic tests that your pet needs to stay healthy and to help them heal quickly when they are sick. In instances that require us to run tests quickly, we’re able to rapidly diagnose pets without difficulty using our advanced technological tools and a full suite of diagnostic lab services as well as digital and dental radiographic imaging.

Regularly screening is a great, proactive way for pet owners to ensure their pet’s health long-term. We recommend annual testing as a part of your pet’s wellness visits to the hospital, in order to catch any issues before they progress to something more serious. Diagnostic testing is also a vital part of the treatment of health issues when your pet is sick.

Here at Canton Animal Hospital, we offer a variety of diagnostic testing and imaging services to help diagnose and treat your pet’s illness and injuries. Some of our most common offerings include the following:

Our hospital offers routine diagnostic imaging to help diagnose a problem or a disease in your pets. X-rays are capable of detecting arthritis, fractures, tumors, heart conditions, bladder and kidney stones, forein bodies and much more

Blood Testing

In our in-house labratory, we’re able to conduct blood testing to help produce diagnostic information about your pet’s hydration, detect heart conditions, and inform us about your pet’s blood sugar levels as well as kidney function.

Urinalysis is a key diagnostic test that provides essential insights into the physical and chemical properties of your pet’s urine. This information i sused to diagnose the health of your pet’s kidney and urinary tract system as well as identifying metabolic diseases such as diabetes.

Fecal Exams

Fecal Exams are microscopic examinations used to detect intestinal parasites in your pet such as hookworms, roundworms, and whipworms that can otherwise be difficult to detect. Annual fecals are the best way to ensure your pet and family's safety from intestinal parasites.

In-House Cytology

Cytology is the microscopic examination of cells that are collected from the body of the pet. These allow us to diagnose “lumps and bumps” found on the surface of the pet’s body.

This place was amazing! I called and was able to get in within 40 minutes of my call which was 2 hours before they closed too! I called at least 8 other Emergency Vets before calling them and I would go back in a heartbeat! The techs and DVM were wonderful and so caring. Alice, my 16-year-old cat, is happy to be back home.
